Launching Starsiege: Deadzone

Starsiege: Deadzone was an exciting extraction shooter and will later see a roguelike version of the game in 2025. Tasked with influencer marketing, email campaigns, paid media, marketing copy, and website development, I also took on the added responsibility of community management. With rapid growth upon launch, I found myself managing an influx of player feedback and technical issues, leading to the creation of a customer support automation system within Discord and eventually transitioning to a more robust setup with Front.

The project was a crash course in fast growth and adaptability. As the community expanded at breakneck speed, so did the demands, and I had to quickly learn the ropes in customer service, account management, web development, and trailer direction—skills that were new to me but crucial for the project’s success.

Big Growth & Challenges:

The project’s success was marked by the growth of our Discord community to over 15k+ users and the highly effective, marketing campaign. Our email campaigns reached over 14k influencers with the creation of a Python web-scraping tool I developed with ChatGPT. I played a key role in producing our first trailer and had the opportunity to collaborate with AMP Productions, Kai Cenat's organization. I implemented insights from my competitive analysis of games like Dark and Darker into the game's design, leading to a fan-favorite feature of shooting the lights out to create tense gameplay between players. Starsiege: Deadzone became a career milestone as my first project involving console development with Sony, Xbox, and Epic Games.
